About our Restaurant
Our story began in 1985, when Clay's Restaurant was just a humble, family-run spot serving hearty comfort food off the quiet crossroads of Clay Road and Highway 6. Founded by Houstonian Mr. Seaback, Clay's set out to create more than just a dining destination, it became a welcoming haven for families and kids of all ages.
Word quickly spread about Clay's award-winning burgers, mouthwatering chicken-fried steak, and its relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. As demand grew, so did the restaurant. Mr. Seaback expanded the property by adding charming, vintage schoolhouses tucked among the trees, perfect for hosting special gatherings and events.
Through the years, Clay's has continued to evolve, introducing fresh menu items and enhancing the dining experience while staying true to its commitment to quality and service.
What hasn't changed and never will are the family values that define Clay's. It's a place where kids can laugh and play as parents unwind with a cold drink and a perfectly grilled burger. So, gather the family, head on over, and make some memories with us!
At Clay's, community is everything. Each year, we proudly sponsor local sports teams and support the Future Farmers of America (FFA). We're also dedicated to giving back, contributing to area schools and churches to help make a difference where it matters most.
