Our story starts in 1985....

Clay’s Restaurant was just a small

ma & pa’s place serving comfort food off the beaten track of Clay road and Hwy 6.  Owned and operated by Houstonian Damian Seaback, who set out to build Clay’s into a great family restaurant, full of fun for kids of all ages.  Word soon spread about Clay’s award winning burgers, chicken fried steak  and comfortable family atmosphere.  Damian soon needed to expand his Houston Restaurant.  He converted quaint old school houses into the perfect additions at the back of his property, nestled among the trees.  Clay’s continues to grow and change, adding new menu items and features to improve the quality and service for their customers and friends.  One thing will never change, though, and that’s the family fun values that are the cornerstone of Clay’s Restaurant.   It’s as much fun for the kids as it is for you, so pack ‘em up and bring ‘em on over!   Kick back, grab a burger and a cold one.

Damian’s entrepreneurial spirit has also lead him to create Seaback Roofing; a roofing company that specializes in storm damaged roof repair.

“This home-style restaurant first opened its doors in 1985. The wood surroundings provide a cozy feeling of home, and the friendly staff treats guests like family. Pay for food at the counter upon entering and then grab a seat in the dining room or one of the three patios. A petting farm, sand pit and plenty of room to run around provide entertainment for children. Out back is a ranch-style gathering area that can be reserved for private gatherings. The house specialties are burgers and chicken fried steak with an assortment of country-style sides including homemade onion rings. Daily meal specials are available, and every $10 spent Monday through Thursday earn one dollar of "Clay's Cash," which may be redeemed at any time.”

Clay’s  Restaurant maintains strong ties to our community.

Each year we sponsor several sports teams and the Future Farmers of America (FFA).    We also continue to make donations to the area schools & churches.    Each year Clay’s Restaurant  provides $1000.00 in scholarship money to our college bound employees.
